Weld Spec is locally-owned and operated and was established in 2001 with the goal of providing superior NDE and inspection services to our clients with trained, certified and well-equipped personnel. Supported by a highly experienced management team with an average of over 30 years’ experience each, our staff is empowered to think creatively when challenged and find the best solution for the customer’s project.
In 2023, Weld Spec became a part of the HMT family. HMT is the leader in the above ground storage tank industry offering comprehensive solutions for tank design, construction, maintenance, inspection, and repair services.Together our combined expertise and resources enable us to provide unparalleled service to our customers, ensuring their tanks are safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible.

Supporting Safety Excellence
Safety is the first core value at Weld Spec. We operate with full-time safety professionals charged with the responsibility of making sure that employees receive proper regulatory and client-specific safety training and understand the importance of working safely for the sake of themselves and their loved ones.
These safety professionals manage the HSE and Radiation Safety programs in compliance with ISNetworld, PICS, DISA, TDSHS and US DOT. They ensure compliance through continuous review of employee practices, adherence to all safe work practices and procedures, and perform program and jobsite audits. As well, site and weekly safety meetings are held to ensure safety remains a top priority.
